Using a Professional Care Manager
"The American public is mostly unaware of the value of using care management services for long term care. And even when family members are given the opportunity to use a care manager, they will often forgo the services because they have to pay a fee. In reality, a care manager can typically save many out-of-pocket dollars that far exceed the cost of the manager’s fees. In addition, care managers save the family time, heartache and stress in dealing with the challenge of providing care for a loved one.
Also, the quality of life remaining to someone needing long term care can often be improved with the help of a competent care manager. Finally, care managers can usually recommend sources of funding for long term care services that family members are completely unaware of."
